Three brothers from the state of Georgia are looking to fill key positions on the Southern Regional Executive Board for the 2020-2022 term. Ken Straughter, Lyric Cosby, and Franklin Wright are running First Vice Regional Director, Secretary, Treasurer positions respectively. Each person brings a ton of knowledge to the Regional Board if elected.
Ken Straughter seeks to return to the Southern Region Executive Board as the First Vice Regional Director after serving as the Regional Director of Bigger and Better Business from 2012-2016 and Georgia State Director from 2015-2019. He served as the Georgia State Director of Bigger and Better Business prior to the regional board positions. "Sarge", as he is called, is a member of the Delta Mu Sigma Chapter in Athens, Georgia where he serves as Treasurer.
Lyric Cosby seeks a fifth consecutive term as the Southern Regional Secretary. A member of the Sigma Eta Sigma in Henry County, he has been a member of Phi Beta Sigma for 21 years and has previously served as Director of Collegiate Affairs for the State of Georgia.
Franklin Wright pursues a fourth term as the Regional Treasurer. Wright serves in many capacities in the Alpha Phi Sigma Chapter in Columbus, Georgia. He previously served on the Georgia State Executive Board as Treasurer and Advisor to the State Board.
Previously scheduled for April 16-19, 2020, the Southern Regional Conference will be held online on July 17-18 due to the COVID - 19 pandemic.
