Immediate Past Georgia State Director Kenneth "Sarge" Straughter has submitted his candidacy for the Southern Regional First Vice State Director position. Sarge, by which many know him, is a member of the Delta Mu Sigma Chapter of Athens where he has served as president and treasurer. Prior to serving as state director, he served as State and Regional Directors of Bigger and Better Business. In 2019, Straughter was inducted into the Outstanding Sigmas of the Southern Region, which honors Phi Beta Sigma members in the Southern Regional who have rendered outstanding service to the fraternity and community. Outside of the fraternity, he serves as a director of the youth football league in Athens and D.A.R.E. Officer for the Clarke County Sheriff's Department.
