I would like to first thank each of you for your support as we move the State of Georgia and Sigma forward toward our next 100 years.
From my home in the Classic City of Athens, and between the hedges at the University of Georgia; it’s an honor to serve as the State Director of Georgia for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. I look forward to meeting and working with each of you and your chapters in the years to come.
During my two-year term as State Director, I will emphasize the importance of mentoring our young males via our Sigma Beta Club. In addition to that, we will continue to stay in line with our International initiatives. Lastly, we will rebuild the relationship with our sisters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. At this time, we hold the #1 Spot in membership in the Southern Region. This is directly contributed to the hard work each you do daily in your community and on your campuses. However, we still have much work to do. I ask each chapter and city to host or sponsor a Sigma Rodeo to help bring brothers back into the Bond.
The General Board and myself are working together to assure that the chapters in our state stay informed with the many changes that our organization is facing. This is to include new International programs and our continue focus on Membership Intake Program (MIP).
This may seem to be a challenging task ahead of us, but I am confident that the Brothers of the State of Georgia are prepared and willing to work to keep Georgia First.
