Stephens named Director-of School Operations-at Houston County School System

The Houston County Board of Education approved Dr. Walter Stephens as a Director of School Operations during a Board meeting held March 12,2019. Dr. Stephens currently serves as the Thomson Middle School principal. Stephens has been with the district for 11 years. He holds a doctorate from Mercer University, master’s degree from Southern University and A&M College and a bachelor’s from Tuskegee University. Stephens, a member of the Kappa Zeta Sigma Chapter, serves as president of the chapter and the Southern Regional Director of the Sigma Beta Clubs.
