Local Sigma and Zeta Chapters hosts Emanuel Screenings
The movie “Emanuel” will air in theaters ONLY on Monday, June 17, 2019 and Wednesday, June 19, 2019). The movie recounts the June 17, 2015 story of churchgoers who were gunned down by a white supremacist during prayer service at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina. Nine African Americans died that night, leaving their families and the nation to grapple with this senseless act of terror. Five of the nine were members of Black fraternities and sororities, including a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. The movie features intimate interviews with survivors and family members. This is a poignant story of justice and faith, love and hate and examining the ultimate healing power of forgiveness. The executive producers, NBA All-Star Stephen Curry and Oscar winner Viola Davis are excited to have the Blue & White Family on board to promote the movie.
In the state of Georgia, it is our collective efforts (Sigmas and Zetas) to partner up and host a movie night on either of the dates aforementioned in communities where the movie is shown.

The Omicron Kappa Zeta and Sigma Eta Sigma chapters will host a screening at the Cinemark 17 and XD, 134 Pavilion Parkway, Fayetteville, GA beginning at 7 PM on Wednesday, June 19. It is asked the attendees arrive by 6:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased online.
The Rho Epsilon Zeta and the Phi Beta Sigma Sigma chapter will host a screening at the Movie Tavern, 4651 Woodstock Rd., Roswell, GA at 7 PM. Tickets can be purchase online.
